Expand further on the location search to include pulling by an entire state
Status: completedYou're already able to do this. For a location, just put the name of that state you're looking wanting.

don't go to top of page when clicking on links on without required page change
Like when you open a new tab in the browser while clicking on a link.
Status: completedKevin, we're having a hard time reproducing this. Can you provide me a bit more details on what you're doing when you experience this? And also what browser you're using?

Hold position on Results Tab when opening new tab
When you open a job description and new tab opens up, the Results Tab resets to the top. Then you have to find your way back down to where you were before - wastes time big time.

Let people create a seperate account through LinkUp without jumping through hoops.
When you click on the Login/SignUp button on the front page it automatically asks you to sign in using one of a number of pre-existing online communities. However, if you don't have a membership in one of those communities it's very difficult to actually create an account and sign in. It's nice... more
Status: completedFor people wanting a separate account, please use OpenID (my preferred OpenID provider is http://www.myopenid.com/). While we need to improve the presentation and explanation of this option, and least this is a solution to this understandable problem.

Stay more current.
Stay more current. I saw numerous jobs for the city I live in that had been verified 3 days ago and were listed as open. When I contacted the HR personnel, the positions did not exist or had been closed weeks ago.
Status: completedAll jobs in our system are checked at least once every 48 hours.

Add Canada!
I was linked to this site through postings for jobs in Toronto, yet no Canadian cities are listed. Please add Canada (at least Toronto) to your great site.
Status: completedCanada has been launched. If there are any employers that aren't on LinkUp, but should be, make sure you tell them to get in contact with us! Either http://linkup.com or support@linkup.com.

improve up-to-date listings. None of the many County jobs I saw are on their website.
I was very excited my first time on LinkUp to see several County environmental jobs near 76107, and printed them all off. Luckily I went to the County website before expending any more time - none of them were there.

You need to fix the wording in explaining WorkSearch as follows:
"WorkSearch is LinkUp's free tool for jobseekers that let's the time how long they've spent searching for jobs, and view their progress along the way."
This sentence doesn't make sense. Should be:
WorkSearch is LinkUp's free tool for jobseekers TO TRACK how long THEY'RE SPENDING searc... moreStatus: completed -

Add multiple location searches- jobs in PA or NY or NJ etc.
This would be convenient for people looking for jobs in a geographic region.
It can also be set so you add zip codes and use the radius feature, so it will find any jobs within the range of these zip codes (this is several circles that overlap each other at different parts).
Status: completedMultiple locations are now possible - simply separate the zip codes that you're interested in with semicolons.

Rethink categories
The problem with categories as it is implemented at most job sites is that it conflates job skill and industry vertical. If I'm looking for a job in a hospital doing safety training, do I look in the category of hospitals, safety or training?
You need to refactor this concept somehow.

allow search of multiple categories at the same time.
It would be easier to search multiple job categories at the same time rather than have to do a new search of each category

LinkUp doesn't change the color of the link after I have visited the job and return to the results. Note: my links do change colors on other web sites.
Status: completedThanks for pointing this out! The jobs now change color (and boldness) based on if you've clicked them before.

Sales people work a large territory so for instance the Midwest, Southeast, Northwest, West Coast, East Coast, Southwest etc. so when I am searching sales jobs it is better for me to put in Southeast vs. just Florida. Some kind of "Job basket"
It would function like a "shopping cart" where jobs you are interested could be stored. You would have functionality to email from this basket or return to later as well.
Status: completedThis is a great idea! Email functionality, as well as RSS feeds of the basket, would definitely make this a useful feature. We'll get to work on it right away.
